CNY Watercolor Society

SIGNATURE WATERCOLOR ARTISTS DEMONSTRATE TECHNIQUES

This year's Demo Night, the Central New York Watercolor Society's gift
to the communities of the area, will take place between 6:00 and 8:00
Friday evening, October 11 at the Twin Ponds Golf and Country Club, in
New York Mills. Eight signature members of the society will
demonstrate their painting skills and expertise in the medium of
watercolor. This informal yet revealing "show and tell" event will
afford those in attendance the chance to interact with the Demo Night
artists as they step out of their studios to explain the mysteries of
their chosen medium in an informal setting.

Demonstrating artists will be Deb Rosato, Jo Ambrose, Laura Hwang,
Doug Jamieson, Catherine Bennett, Jana Kolowrat Laxa, Katherine
Kernan, and Donna Kistler.
Demo Night is part of the society's Annual Meeting that consists of a
two-day workshop, scheduled for October 10 -11, be led by nationally-
known guest artist Mark de Mos, and the business meeting that will be
on Saturday, October 12.

For more than three decades, the Central New York Watercolor Society
has fostered the advancement of the art of watercolor painting,
informing and educating the general public through exhibitions,
lectures and painting demonstrations. Formed in the living rooms of a
handful of central New York artists, membership has grown to almost
two hundred and consists of outstanding and talented artists from
throughout the United States who have achieved recognition in this
field.

Demo Night is free and open to the public; seasonal refreshments will
be served. Mark your calendar today and join us for this enriching
experience.
